So I just received a Concours seat that I bought from a guy on eBay, and there's no way it fits on my 2007 14. Are there just certain year Concours seats that work? If so, does anybody know what years will work?
Thanks. -bg

you have to change something from your seat to the connie seat. i dont know what though.
YES the years matter.. They did have the concourse before the 14 came out. So pre-14 connie seats won't work.

yup year matters and you need to take the brackets off of your zx14 seat and mount them on your connie seat.... just that clasp that locks your seat in place.... I saw Blue's when we were down in Montana looked very simple to install..... I think it was like 2 screws and that was it... was comfy too well worth the upgrade.... where did ya get the connie seat??

NO!-get yer money back BG.Send it back and tell him you want the 08 connie seat-don't just let that go.......possible mixup on his end,or-intentional scam-either way-he'll probably swap ya the right seat for his good rep on e-bay.Go for it.You'll not regret the seat.In 07 I was buying parts for my then mangled baby.I needed the Headlamps. There they were-pretty as could be,but missing ONE mounting tab on the center. That's what the pic on ebay showed.I figured-okay-if that's all,I can use these(it was a COMPLETE set of lamps, right and left(in the lenses). They were at an excellent price. They were listed as used.So I knew they weren't perfect.Okay,I pay-then I get the package.Open er up,there's my set-HOWEVER_THREE tabs were missing, and the right lens had a NON-BUFFABLE scrape all the way across.I was VERY upset. So I go back on the website, look again at the pics there-the angles were slightly different from the originals, and the broken outside tabs had been set up in the picture to appear like they were attached.Ya-I was pissed.Contacted the guy via the site there. He wrote in pretty bad English, but I didn't accuse him or anything like that. And I never let on how angry I was.I just layed it out to him what condition they were in when I received them, and that he needed to do the right thing here and make this right with a refund.Naturally he tried first off to accuse me of breaking the parts.I never even got to the point of considering to install them after I saw how they were.He wasn't buying it at first. But he knew what he had done-so I just reminded him that he NEEDED to do the right thing. Finally,he gave in(as he should have)and refunded the money back-and gave me an A+ rating as a buyer-and I agreed to do the same for him-which I did.Never bought from him again though-and the "parts" were removed from the website the following day.Get your money back BG.I never threatened the guy with any kind of action, except that I told him I was extremely disappointed, and would be writing that on the "seller" review section. That got his attention!.

And remember guys, if you pay using PayPal, you have the right to dispute the payment if the seller won't communicate or fails to make it right. Assuming you are using eBay, since 99% of the stuff on eBay is paid via PayPal.
I have, over the years, had two or three cases where eBay sellers have done me wrong. One sent me a processor (cpu) and it was dead on arrival. The other sold me a virtual item but failed to deliver. In both cases, I got a runaround in email, and after about 2 weeks, I disputed the payment on PayPal and received my money back.
Though in the case of the processor, the guy was selling DOA stuff routinely, and I only got about 3/4 of my money back because thats all they could get out of his bank. He ended up getting arrested for fraud.
Since the majority of eBay sellers are not crooks like these guys, you can almost always get them to accept a return for exchange or refund, just by being calm, insistant, and not making accusations.
